About the AHURI Queensland Research Centre
The AHURI Queensland Research Centre conducts and disseminates high quality research and scholarship to inform housing policy, programs and practice in Australia, with a particular focus on Queensland.
The Centre is driven by a commitment to equitable access to housing for all Australians, particularly those who are excluded from full participation in Australian society as a consequence of their housing circumstances. Access to housing is viewed as central to the well-being of individuals, families, communities and social groups, impacting on many aspects of the quality of life of Australians including safety and security, health, employment, education and social cohesion. The Centre aims to conduct research that is valued by all sections of the housing policy community, including the public, private and community sectors.
The Research Centre Development Plan, 2009-2011 sets out the Queensland Research Centre's plans for the current triennium.
